Curiosity brings home the gold and hosts the 2021 ADDY Awards

AdClub Cincinnati Celebrates by Supporting Small Businesses

Cincinnati, OH — March 11, 2021 –  This year’s virtual AdClub Cincinnati ADDY Awards celebrated some of the best and brightest in the local advertising industry. The awards program was themed “Save the Queen” to recognize area small businesses impacted by the global pandemic. Cincinnati-based creative agency Curiosity hosted the ceremony and brought home multiple gold and silver awards. 

Several creative executions received gold recognitions, including the Native “No is Our Whoa” campaign designed to drive awareness and sales for the P&G brand. In addition, Curiosity was recognized for multiple campaigns designed to support the region during the pandemic, including the clothing line “Social Distance Supply” and the social media campaign “Save Cincy Small.” Curiosity’s own holiday card game, “Just Curious,”  brought home a gold award for its ability to connect people in a disconnected time. Finally, Curiosity also secured multiple silver awards for outstanding executions, including the Charlie Banana “A Little Softness” campaign, Cincinnati Bell “Behind Your Connection” ad and the updated Curiosity website, logo and press kit. 

The “Save the Queen” theme was orchestrated by Curiosity as a nod to the local businesses who call Cincinnati home. Each participating agency was given an opportunity to nominate a local small company, such as a deli, coffee house, or production studio, who should receive recognition for surviving and thriving in 2020. The chosen business was honored during the virtual ceremony and offered a complimentary ad space in the winner’s book. Since the event was hosted virtually, winner’s books could only be obtained at the honored business locations. 

“It’s a different kind of year in the advertising industry, and that means a different story for the annual ADDY’s,” said Greg Livingston, COO and co-owner at Curiosity and AdClub Cincinnati Board President. “Leveraging the idea that we truly are ‘all in this together,’ tying in our area local small businesses was a no-brainer. They need the recognition now more than ever, and we are the storytellers who can offer it. I’m always proud to represent Cincinnati’s creative community, but I’m especially excited that we are sharing the love this year.”
